This is a really lovely breakdown on all of those Presidential Advisory jobs like "Energy Czar" or "AIDS Czar" that have come under scrutiny over the last couple years. And, of course, they've come under scrutiny by the Conservative Right since November of 2008.
What this Conservative Faction seems to forget, however, is that pretty much all of those positions existed before Obama was elected. Some were created when Obama was a child.
But if you shorten a title like Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection because it's long and unwieldy, to something simpler like "Border Czar", it sounds scary.
